Meet Our Counsellor

Fit Minded Counselling was created from the belief that looking after our mental health deserves the same care and attention as our physical health.

We provide a supportive space to explore experiences, strengthen understanding, and develope the tools needed to navigate life's challenges.

Our approach is collaborative and grounded in curiosity, connection, and respect for each person's unique experiences.

Jacqueline

Counsellor / Founder /    Clinical supervisor

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a frontline Police Officer in Canada, an experience that shaped the way I understand people, not only through the challenges they face, but through the stories, strengths, and experiences they carry with them.

It also gave me insight into how our roles, environments, and experiences can impact the way we see ourselves, connect with others, and navigate life outside of work.

While I work with people experiencing a broad range of concerns, I have found myself particularly drawn to supporting those navigating trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and the impact of working in high-pressure or high-exposure professions.

These experiences can profoundly shape the way we see ourselves, relate to others, and move through the world. It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they make sense of what is happening, reconnect with their strengths, and move towards meaningful and lasting change.

My approach is collaborative, genuine, and grounded in curiosity. I work alongside individuals, couples, families, helping professionals, and organisations to explore challenges, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with themselves, and move towards what matters most.

The Values That Guide Our Work

At Fit Minded Counselling, our work is guided by the belief that meaningful support begins with understanding the person, not just the problem.

Supporting Mental Fitness

At Fit Minded Counselling, mental health is viewed as something we continue to understand, strengthen, and care for throughout life.

Our work brings together evidence based approaches and genuine conversation, supporting people to explore their experiences, build awareness, and create meaningful change.
